Tareik Hart16/09/2024 James is an amazing dog instructor and very passionate about what he does. It was great attending the training sessions with James. He is very knowledgeable and very patient. I would highly recommend James for anybody who needs help becoming a better dog owner and modifying their dogs’ behaviour. Karen How01/01/2024 Worth getting your families train Jim McHattie15/07/2023 We have had lots of dogs and none of them would have otherwise had a home. We didn't hesitate to take on a difficult dog whose owner had become homeless. Our deaf American Staffie turned out to be more of a challenge than we could manage. He pulled on leash, reacted to dogs, attacked visitors and had had a lot of intermittent reinforcement so he didn't respond to training. Finally when he bit a speech pathologist and the counsel became involved, we contacted canine revolution. The board and train made a big difference. The impossible became possible. The training we were given and the time we put in made the possible usual. We still have a dog who needs a lot of attention but there is no longer any doubt that he is ours for life. He brings us much joy. Thank you, Jim! Ann Nojin23/11/2022 Jimmy came to our house to train Jack. Jack has been a bad boy and bites his mum and scares the visitors. Jack loves Jimmy and is now starting to behave. 7 lessons to go! I would recommend Jimmy all day every day. He is so confident and knows what he is doing. He gives me confidence that Jack will become a good boy. Many thanks Jimmy Rachel Cassar18/05/2022 James' training has been invaluable. His knowlege & passion for what he does shows through in his results in working with what would typically be perceived as "difficult dogs". I have a large breed dog who I absolutely love (and admittedly spoil), but he has always had anxiety about being left alone, couldn't be left outside, became reactive to dogs after being attacked & as a result was very difficult to take for walks. I thought I was doing the right things to keep him feeling safe & happy, but there's lots I was doing & not doing to unknowingly contribute to his insecurities & behaviour. After the board & train, my dog came home 100% more secure, more balanced, more receptive & overall more happier dog!!! I loved seeing videos of his progress whilst he was there & socialising with other dogs again. James followed up with 1-on-1 lessons to help me with learning & continue my training to break my bad habits. James is very supportive & I know that I can contact any time for help & he'll do what he can to help. I highly recommend his board & train services!!!! Totally worth it. Shelby Flowers05/04/2022 Cannot recommend you enough, I tell everyone where to go for awesome dog training!! I sent my very naughty Newfoundland puppy away for the board and train program and have received back an awesome dog who listens! I can finally walk both my dogs together without any pulling or naughty behaviour and I’m enjoying our walks now. The 1:1 training afterwards is invaluable (not only for the dog but for us too). So glad I found you and I can’t thank you enough for all your help. Michelle Boyton06/02/2022 Great experience. Trainer really understood how to help us respond to our dog and get the best out of training. Our dog stopped pulling on the lead and loved the training sessions. Very professional. Sarah Graham27/09/2021 Came home to a calmer dog, who is now able to be near other dogs without going crazy. Took such great care of him while I was away. Simple and effective training tricks to take home and practice. James continues to check in and suggest different things to try at home as well. Can’t recommend James and the crew enough!! Leah Brown27/09/2021 I can not thank James enough for his help with my dog Millie. I used to never take my dogs on a walk because it would always result in me crying. Millie would pull and react to every person or dog that we would walk past, this made it very difficult to walk two dogs. Millie attended the Board and Stay program for 3 weeks. During her stay I got photo updates and videos of how Millie was progressing. I was able to message James and ask him how Millie was progressing. On Millie’s first day home we went on a walk and walked past 9 other dogs! She did not bark or pull towards one of them. Millie and I together still have training to go through together but I could not have gotten where we are without James!

My Dog Already Knows How to Sit and other commands but wont do it when distractions are around
Most dogs have a basic knowledge of sit as thats where most people start with their dog but teaching the dog to respond first command every time is what we are moving towards. The small group class will add just the right amount of structured distraction to help your dog learn to respond in all dog related situations.
My Dog Is Reactive / Aggressive Can i Join The Group Class
There are many dogs that suffer from reactivity and many of these dogs flourish with the private classes as those are tailored for your dog and will then incorporate other dogs into the training. Once you graduate your can join our ongoing group class and keep your training going.
What Equipment Will I Need?
While each dog is unique these are the 3 best tools on the market.
- Treat Pouch
- 6 Foot / 15 Food Leash
- Slip lead, Halti, Pinch Collar (You will be introduced to these pieces of equipment and get to see how well your dog responds to each
We can discuss other equipment and how they could be used. You will get to see who in the class flourishes with the use of a good better or best type equipment.
How Long Do The Session Go For?
Each session last 30 mins. We work on the same lesson all week so pick a time each week that suits you. If you are running late you wont be allowed into that class as it does disturb the flow. Just book in for the next available time that week.
What Happens If i Am Not Available All Week For That Lesson?
If you can not attend any of the session that week let us know and re-book in for that class when it comes back around in the rotation. If the time do not match up for your schedule then private lessons may be a better option as they are all by appointment and can be changed each week to suit.
